It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be, the bridesmaid-dress shopping. That took place on the Saturday just passed, the 28th.
I almost looked glamorous. For a very short while. But only if I didn’t look too long in the mirror. The dream could easily fall apart.
The bride surprised us all by picking the second dress she tried on as ‘The One‘. This is a girl, sorry woman, who normally has to try on the entire shop before making a decision. And she’ll ask for your opinion, which as every bloke knows, is a very dangerous thing to be invovled in. But, somehow, I get away with being honest, doubt if any man in the same situation would though. And I do mean honest.
I’m now going to remind my friend of her impending nuptials at every opportunity; the great countdown. Just to freak her out, cos that’s the kind of girl (I still wouldn’t class myself as a woman) I am!

That would the status of the new mobile.
It’s compact and cool, so highly likely to get lost/broken/stolen in no time at all.
Wooooooo!
Next Saturday I shall squeezing my heftiness into bridesmaid dresses, at the bequest of the bride and my rather good friend. I’m utterly dreading it. The colour currently being considered for the bridesmaids is plum, which will really clash with my hair. I think it maybe part of my friend’s cunning evil plan to force me to go blonde, but we’ll see.

Having a bit of a pang moment.
If I go back to ignoring such feelings and doing my best to not think about a certain person, I’ll be fine, just keep supplying the drink, Mr Imaginary Barman.
On an altogether different note: I hear and see (and read) that some folks in Britain have been experiencing some horrendous weather. Not here though, lovely and sunny last few days. *Gloat* Won’t last though, this I know.
Will anyone be watching the Olympics? I will, especially any event that requires the athletes to wear the minimal amount of clothing.

It’s been ages since I’ve written anything. The brain has mostly been occupied with thoughts that require vast amounts of time away from the pc. Plus I’ve been getting some really wonderful eye strain whilst sat in front of this thing of late.
Tis too warm. I be a cool kinda girl; wintertime being my most favourite season. So this heat, and more specifically, humidity is not my cup of tea. I’d been really useless in any country that had proper summers.
The ONLY good thing about the situation: thunderstorms!!
Some things I have been enjoying and/or pondering over the last few weeks:
- Opera; thanks to the beeb for introducing me to that particular art form
- Big Brother (how much of a cultural clash is that?!)
- Earl Grey tea
- The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band; ahh, the genius of Vivian Stanshall
- Strawberries & cream
- Magic; card tricks, et al
- Bullshit!
- Muffins, the proper type
- Actually being a bridesmaid next year, without any strings attached (cough!)
- Hoyle Card & Board Games
