Almost Kitten Time!

22 October, 2004 at 3:25 pm (Imported from Old Blog, Twaddle)

I felt the compulsion to post this conversation that I had yesterday. Names have been changed, not to protect anyone’s identity but to safe on space and to make it easy to read, for the two people who regularly check this out. All spelling and punctuation mistakes have been corrected before being posted here. Hopefully all, anyway.

The person I’m conversing with has never, to the best of my knowledge, posted anything on this blog. And I don’t think that’s about to change after this.

Them: there’s a cat under my desk!
Me: ok
Them: it surprised me
Me: well, it would. my cat has the tendency to do the same - surprise me, and also plonk herself under, or behind, my desk
Me: dull info, I know
Them: if it’s been rewiring my hi-fi there’ll be heck to pay
Me: cos cats are expert electricians
Them: hehe
Me: tis why they don’t like water
Them: my hi-fi is very fragile
Them: :-p
Me: mentally fragile?
Them: the satellite speakers are just carefully locked in place, the antenna’s held there by blu-tac :-p
Me:
ahh. I thought it might have been on the cusp of mental collapse, mine often is
Them: lol
Them: it’s under my bed now… I don’t know what the hell it’s up to but it’s acting weird

Me: cats do that
Me: stroke it, it might do something even stranger!
Them: It came to see me for a while, then it went to sniff something in the corner for a bit, then it attacked my curtains and pissed about in the window for a while, then came back to me then went under the bed
Me: yup, sounds totally normal cat behaviour to me
Them: Now I think it’s drilling!
Me: yay!!
Them: weird bloody cat
Me: all cats are bloody weird, it’s in their job description
Them: I opened the door so it could get out but it won’t leave! It’s like an annoying relative
Me: at least it doesn’t jump up and down all over you, slobber in a very disgusting manner and chew everything in sight to death
Me: that would be my brother, obviously :-D
